Research content
We conduct research to make the relationship between social infrastructure and people smarter, and to improve maintenance and management. Maintaining social infrastructure is essential for realizing a sustainable society. We are working on solutions from the aspect of inspection and monitoring using IoT. IoT is realized by a combination of measurement using sensors (sensing) and data processing using AI/machine learning, etc. This requires the comprehensive capabilities of electrical and electronic technologies such as sensors, computers, and energy, and software technologies such as AI/machine learning. While conducting joint research with multiple companies, we are utilizing such engineering technology in the form of solving problems related to infrastructure that have practical social needs. We also aim to develop human resources who can comprehensively understand and apply engineering technology centered on electrical and electronic fields.
