Department/Research Field

Graduate School of Bionics, Computer and Media Sciences/Coordination Chemistry, Photochemistry, Organic Chemistry

Research content
New metal complexes and organic molecules are developed for photocatalytic systems changing solar energy to chemical energy (artificial photosynthesis). Functional materials, such as molecules for collecting solar energy, for driving and accumulating electrons, for capturing reaction substrate, for catalyzing reactions, etc., are synthesized and examined for the photocatalysis.
Research theme

1. Development of photocatalysts for carbon dioxide reduction
2. Design and syntheses of highly emissive metal complexes and organic molecules
3. Development of receptors for specific molecules and ions

Research keywords
Metal complex , Photocatalysis , Artificial Photosynthesis
