Research content
The performance of smartphones and computers is largely determined by the behavior of electrons in the materials from which they are made. Understanding this behavior and applying that knowledge to material and device design can lead to new materials and devices, enabling smaller and more energy-efficient electronics as well as faster information processing.
In our laboratory, we use quantum mechanics and theoretical calculations to investigate the properties and behavior of electrons. Our goal is to uncover the fundamental principles that will guide the design of next-generation materials and quantum devices.
