Research content
To realize a sustainable and affluent society, it is essential to solve energy and environmental problems and realize an advanced information communication society. Toward this goal, our laboratory is working on developing energy-saving and environment-friendly high performance optical and electronic devices (green devices) using next-generation semiconductors, i.e., wide-gap semiconductors such as nitride semiconductors. Our research interests widely range from materials to devices and their applications.

Research theme

1. Energy-saving next-generation power devices using wide-gap semiconductors
2. Electron devices resistant to harsh environment (high temperature, radiation, etc.)
3. Development of high performance optical and electronic devices with new electronic materials and novel structures
